Elsa Schiaparelli
Premium Fragrance House
In 1927, Elsa Schiaparelli kickstarted her illustrious career with a unique homemade sweater that showcased her exceptional design skills. Born in Rome in 1890, Schiaparelli drew inspiration from the city's architecture and her family's love for literature and astronomy. Seeing fashion as an art form, she broke free from traditional constraints and embraced avant-garde movements like Surrealism and Dadaism in her designs. Collaborating with renowned artists like Dali and Picasso, Schiaparelli aimed to shock and entertain through her innovative creations. A trailblazer in the fashion world, Schiaparelli introduced daring elements such as zippers in haute couture and her signature 'Shocking Pink' color. To complement her visionary designs, she launched a range of perfumes characterized by whimsical bottles and names like "Shocking" and "Sleeping". Despite closing her fashion house in 1954, the legacy of 'Parfums Schiaparelli' continued to captivate audiences. Elsa Schiaparelli passed away in 1973, leaving behind an unforgettable mark on the industry. In 2012, her fashion house was revived, and Schiaparelli once again joined the elite ranks of haute couture. Through contemporary creations, the spirit of this artistic and humorous icon lives on, celebrating a unique blend of intellect, art, and fashion.
